Jordan is a Titleist golfer, and he’s got a lot of clubhead speed. His clubs may or may not be the perfect fit for your game. The good news is that Titleist has a deep lineup of clubs for golfers of all abilities.
Golfers change their clubs from time to time, but in this article, we will look at Jordan Spieth’s “What’s in the Bag” (WITB) as of December, revealing the equipment that makes winning on the PGA Tour look easy!

Jordan Spieth: What’s In The Bag December
Jordan Speith WITB December: Driver
If you watched the most recent Ryder Cup performance from Spieth, you probably noticed that his driver performance was not the strongest. Spieth struggles a bit with consistency in the long game, and that is precisely why the Titleist TSR2 driver is a perfect fit for him.
Many professionals who use Titleist clubs are more interested in the TSR3 because of its playability and workability. The TSR2 is a little more forgiving but still has excellent feel, high launch, and plenty of distance capability.
Titleist drivers are known for having some of the lowest dispersion rates. Spieth certainly wouldn’t mind if his stats reflected this.
The TSR2 in Jordan’s bag is 10 degrees, but he sets it to 9.25 to improve the launch angle to match his swing.
Spieth plays with the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6X shaft in the driver. The Ventus Blue is one of the most popular options for PGA Tour professionals. The shaft provides a lot of feedback and encourages a more penetrating ball flight for the faster swing speed player.
Jordan doesn’t play with a consistent golf shaft from the driver to the fairway and hybrid. Instead, he has a Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 75 TX in the 3 wood and a Graphite Design Tour AD Hybrid IZ 95 X in the hybrid.
In addition to the driver, Spieth has a 3 wood and a hybrid. The 3 wood is the Titleist TSR3. Again, this is the model that many professionals choose because it has more workability than the TSR2 we see in the driver.
The hybrid is the TSi2 set at 21 degrees. I personally have a TSR2 hybrid and couldn’t love it more. The club is high launching, easy to hit out of any lie, and really gives me confidence on approach shots.
Jordan Spieth WITB December: Irons
Jordan is a great ball striker, and his iron play is something to watch out for when he’s feeling confident. It really came as no surprsie that he went with the TItleist T100 irons.
Although these are not the Titleist blade irons they offer plenty of workability, great feel and lots of precision. Some professionals like a mixed set with blades in the shorter irons but Spieth keeps it consitent throughout with this T100 iron set.
All of the irons in Jordan’s bag feature the Project X 125 6.5 shafts. Project X and Titleist have a strong relationship, so you see these and True Temper shafts in golf irons with the TItleist name all the time.
Jordan also carries this shaft into his wedges.
Jordan has some speed. If your swing is not suited for the 125 6.5, Project X has a full lineup of shafts to work for your golf game.
Jordan Spieth WITB December: Wedges
As a Titleist golfer, Spieth is lucky to have access to all the best wedges from Titleist.
He has four wedges in his bag. Three are the Vokey SM9, and then he puts the Vokey SM9 Wedgeworks in place for the lob wedge.
The WedgeWorks technology creates a lot of spin, and many PGA Tour professionals add this to their setup. One of the most interesting things you will notice about Jordan’s wedge setup are the lofts of his wedges.
Instead of the standard 46, 52, 56, and 60 that we see with many pros, he plays 47,51.5,55.5, and 60.5. I don’t know about you, but this indeed says something about precision!
Would you know if you were playing a 56 or a 55.5 wedge?
The wedges have a Project X 120 6.0 in them. However, the 46 degree, which really works as the pitching wedge features the same shaft as the irons. (Project X 125 6.5).
Why does Spieth do this?
He is trying to create some consistency from the irons to the wedges. However, at the same time, he wants to ensure that the overall feel and softness are a bit more of a match to his game.
On those shorter shots around the green, having a heavy and stiffer shaft isn’t always necessary. Lightening things up a bit is common among professional players.
Jordan Spieth WITB December: Putters
The clubs in Jordan Spieth’s bags are all available for you to try and use out on the course. However, his putter is a unique prototype not available for amateur players. The Scotty Cameron 009 Prototype putter is a blade style, and it’s a very classic-looking design.
Jordan has this putter in sort of an oil can finish to help keep some of the glare down. Many pros avoid a shiny finish on the putter to make it easier to see.
One positive here: if you like the grip on Spieth’s putter, that is available. It’s a SuperStroke Zenergy Flatso 1.0. The putter grip helps you keep your hands a bit more stable through impact.
Jordan Spieth WITB December: Golf Ball
Jordan Spieth plays with the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball. The Pro V1x is a 4 piece golf ball designed for players with a lot of swing speed looking for maximum levels of spin. Typically, golfers that put the Pro V1 x into play are going to have an easier time spinning the short iron shots.
The Pro V1x is not necessarily a distance golf ball, as it does take a little more effort to compress. However, with swing speed like Jordan’s, distance isn’t a concern.
What Can We Learn From Jordan Spieth’s Golf Bag
One of the most important things about analyzing professional golfers’ clubs is not to run out and buy matching drivers or irons. The key is to look at what these professionals are doing to be successful on the golf course. Here is what we can learn from Jordan Spieth’s golf bag.
- Jordan Spieth uses Titleist throughout his entire bag. Sticking with one manufacturer in this way can help provide some consistency in feel and overall performance.
- Even if you are a great player, don’t feel the need to go with a combo iron set, instead find something that encourages confidence throughout the entire set
- Even though Jordan is a professional golfer, he is using one of the more forgiving Titleist drivers, don’t push yourself to play with golf clubs that aren’t a match for your game.
