HERE IS BOBBY JONES preparing to putt at the Oyster Harbors Club in Osterville, Massachusetts.
Winner of 13 majors, including the Grand Slam in 1930 (the U.S. Open, British Open, U.S. Amateur and British Amateur), Jones is widely recognized as one of the greatest golfers of all time. He is ranked as high as third on some people’s list, just behind Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
Ranked as high as first in my list!
Love it. My favorite all time. I have a photo of Bobby Jones above my desk on a wall all by itself.
Retired at 28. One might argue that even Jack's records would not come close to the records of Bobby Jones had he continued to play.
He was something.
Rated #1 on my list as well. I can not even wrap my mind around him playing with today's modern equipment.
