−The Armchair Golfer
I tried to qualify for this year's Open. I took double on first hole, then reeled off 4 straight birdies. On hole 6 (par 5), I had a 16' eagle putt, but I three-jacked it. Out of nowhere, I got the yips. I hit 10 of the next 12 greens, but I just kept 3-jacking it. Finished with a 73, and that's just not good enough in an Open qualifier. Even my playing partners told me I really should've had a 65 had it not been for my putting. I hate golf.
The only thing normal about it is (unless the weather turns horrible today during his round)that Tiger will be right there on Sunday (or whatever day)at the conclusion. Tiger (and I'm not a big fan) really is that much better than anybody else out there.
