Well, Armchair Golf Blog…it's the time of the year.
My only wish is that, the greens are not as soft as Ice Cream ,it would lead to a "birdy fest" like Phil cautioned & that would be somewhat disappointing to see this majestic course reduce to a miniature golf park.
My preference is to see the golfers work to conquer the contortions of Augusta's greens.
I agree with you on the greens. I know there's some rain in the forecast, but I expect they'll be able to set up the course and monitor the moisture and speed of the greens to have it play the way it should, especially on the weekend.
Now I'm reading more and realize that Augusta National, at least at the start, will play too soft. I do hope it dries out somewhat and the greens are speedy.
What's this silly issue about women at the Masters? GOLF is an acronym for gentleman only-ladies forbidden. I'm not saying I agree with the idea that women shouldn't be allowed, however, every sub-entity in America has their own groups that are exclusive to their own agendas. The Bar Association for lawyers, the United Healthcare Workers have their own, the A.A.W. has theirs, get off this stupid trip. A huge waste of money and time is spent reporting this! Can we please move on to bigger, national issues that include everyone?
This is the worst TV coverage I have witnessed in the Masters history. If Golf Channel is covering the play then show the golf and quit guessing as Brandle Chambly always does. He is sicking. I have always watched this tournament every shot shown and have been there to watch, please show the golf. It is not interesting to hear a bunch of garbage.
ja
I am woman.
Thank you for NOT allowing women & please don't ever allow them. Private means PRIVATE–GOT IT, WOMEN? You can't compete w/the men anyway!
